The Selection Process

The Selection Committee is made up of ten prominent Oakville residents, including a nonvoting Chair. Of the ten people serving on the committee, two are past ATHENA recipients, one is a representative from the Steering Committee and the remaining members represent different business sectors and organizations in the community.

The Selection Committee will review all the documentation assembled by the Nomination Committee. Against the background of the Eight Tenets of the ATHENA Leadership Model (below), the Selection Committee will determine the 2009 ATHENA Award Recipient. A short list of nominees may be called in for interview.

The 2009 Recipient will be announced at the Gala Celebration on October 2009. The recipient will not be advised in advance.
